I always check rectifier first. They cop out firs many times in amps. higher power makes them draw more amps than they can handle. Replace with a higher amp rating.

I’ve had this with a Audiohead 1800. The channel kept going into protect and then would blow the fuse. Bridge rectifier was screwed.

I would hsve assumed toroidal transformers would be standard in today's PSUs, however, I don't see them all that common.

Got a similar amp with same short. Mine are soldered to amp module board, u got lucky and can just unscrew yours

i have DIY amp. i use 2 toridial 600w transformers in paralel using 1 same rectifier, 2 chinise l10 amp modules runing bridge pushing 18inch sub. 4 yeras no problem, eaven 24h staight Max volume l
