i keep seeing post on felons able to get a gun. the catch is you have to had completed all your paperwork and its 7yrs after that..so if you got off probation this year, it will be 2031 then yes

It’s a second chance law in states that allow it. Normally 10 years minimum required no crime / jail. If they do that technically their record sealed and they are no longer felon.

I’m a convicted felon young and dumb I think if you paid your debt and you done everything the judge set forth and you’ve done then I think you should be able to get it back case by case

my husband can't own a gun because of a speeding ticket when he was 18 years old and has never been convicted of a crime but the speeding ticket was considered a felony which is bs

i feel.that once your sentence is complete you get those rights back however now as a felon any new convictions that involve a firearm carry a much stiffer penalty.
