First of all you need to establish which one is the LEFT one by looking at the part number. Doesn’t mean you got correct one and vice versa

So who ever installed that the old one it was for the passenger side so if I’m wrong wouldn’t having the fins angled toward the front of vehicle to collect more air to cool it down kinda like a fan

That fitted disc is correct as the vents always lay back towards the rear. Air is drawn from the Center outwards to cool them. Should be fitted by a qualified person.
