My grandmother used to give me 1/2 can of ginger ale when I was sick. She’d pour the other half into a glass with rye whisky. Turns out I was sick several times a day whenever I was at her place.

Fever Tree Ginger Beer is my go-to! I find letting it sit for a bit after opening the bottle reduces the carbonation. Highly recommend giving it a try!
