I’m 24 years old and I’m not afraid to admit.. 1. I crash out monthly. Maybe even weekly. From the outside, it can look like I have it all together, but my 20s have been the most emotional time of my life. 2. Everyday, I’m still figuring out who I am. My interests and style change so often that I wonder if I’ll ever reach a point where I know exactly what I like. 3. I have so many big dreams, but not always a clear idea of the next step to take. That uncertainty can feel paralyzing, and sometimes it leaves me doing nothing at. 4. Social media feeds my toxic thoughts if I let it. I’ll catch myself comparing, wanting to change my appearance or my life just because someone else online has it. I often have to remind myself that material things won’t add real value to my life. 5. I still live at home with my parents. Meanwhile, I see other 20 year olds online living lavishly and that makes me feel like I’m behind. I constantly remind myself nothing is as it seems. Everyone’s circumstances are different. 6. I don’t have time to invest in relationships that don’t align with my values. Cutting ties with people who didn’t make me feel good was one of the best things I’ve done for myself. 7. Half the time, I don’t know what I’m doing, I’m just trying things out and seeing what sticks. Believing that everything will work out, as long as I take it one step at a time, keeps me hopeful and motivated. 8. I make mistakes and embarrass myself constantly, but instead of spiraling like I used to, I’ve learned to laugh at myself. Mistakes are inevitable, so why not learn from them instead of letting them ruin my day. 9. Rest matters. There are days when I don’t feel creative or motivated, and instead of forcing it, I let my body and mind reset. I’ve stopped pressuring myself to always “perform,” and started trusting that alignment will return when it’s meant to. 10. I find more joy in my hobbies than I do with work. I’m so grateful for my 9–5, but it’s the projects I dive into after work and on weekends that light me up. Those little creative outlets make life exciting. #Lifein20s #NotAfraidToAdmit #fyp
