I’ve been working on big diesel trucks for my whole childhood, there are 3-4 sets of brakes on those trailers and box trucks. There’s no way all 4 failed, he could’ve pulled the yellow E brake valve

I dont think you all understand how bad it has to get for the brakes to fail. unlike a car if a semis brakes fail they close, stopping the semi. he had to have done something sketchy with maintenance

A truck drivers pretrip doesnt usually include a full brake inspection. If the brakes did indeed fail then in most cases that sentence could be pinned on the technician who signed off on the truck.
