The school issues a calendar for events at the beginning of the school year. And other events not listed are announced months in advance. Not my fault you can’t plan 🤷♂️

In 7 years, I worked every Xmas and new years. The last yr I put in for 2w PTO over Xmas and NY. Requested and approved in Feb. I was planning to see my cuz in Germany. 1 girl asked me to cancel.

I don’t have kids, so I was okay with covering shifts that were designated. Like Christmas. I can see my parents after work. Only if they took my new years tho. Things like that.
