I’ve been following granny’s journey for maybe 6-8 months, and was curious just how far back her FLD journey goes. Landed myself here, approx. two years ago. It’s fascinating to see just how different she was last year, especially here at two years ago. But my heart breaks more realizing that you & your wife have been on this really hard journey for 2+ years. I hope that when you look at granny today, you see her as who she was before dementia. I hope that it brings you peace and comfort. You both have done incredible things for her over the years and kudos to you. Thinking of all of you, often. 🖤

One thing we found helpful after careing for 2 parents w dementia is to not question, just talk.

My mom was just diagnosed with early stage dementia. I can only hope to be the best daughter and caregiver I can. 😢

I was my Mom’s caregiver and yes you are right it is hard but I would do it all over again because I miss her so much🥰

ur doing a great job. Just take the days one at a time and enjoy all the time you have with her. I miss my nana everyday. on the bad days just try to have patience. it gets hard but it's so worth it

I just lost my mom 3 weeks ago and I was her caretaker for 5 years. Take every minute you have and just enjoy whether they know it or not. 🥲

So difficult! My daddy passed away from Lewy body dementia, it was horrific! But Was always so great to be able to still hug him and love on him miss him so much! Bless you!

My MIL has Alzheimer’s and will eat until she’s sick because her recall is less than 30 seconds. It’s very sad. She’s still friendly though.
