Granite is porous so it absorbs things. Not good for hot. Quartz is much more resistant and should be able to handle heat. But never bad to use something like this for wear and tear 😜😜😜

I have a glass large cutting board I use on my counter tops since I have corian countertops and I was told the same thing not to put hot things in it . Works good to put the hot crock pot on

i worked at a granite shop and if u put something right off the burner on quarts It can pull the resin out of it suggest u use a oven mitt to put anything hot on

I work with quartz on countertops..definitely protect the tops use mats to keep the longevity of your tops. They’re tough but not indestructible
