Replying to @Know More Mutants To all who wanted to help, I have a GoFundMe in my profile. Initially, the goal was $10,000 because I didn't know how to change it, and we surpassed that on the very first day. After a few days of clearing everything out, I've estimated around $75,000 in damages. In 2021, the Tiny housing market was at its lowest, which is why I was able to get it for such a cheap price, around $22,000 custom-built. The same builders are now quoting around $50,000 for the exact same house. Now, with that said, I was able to salvage 40% of my belongings; the rest were lost. My solar panels, which were approximately half the price of the house, are gone. Other items, including personal belongings, tools, and equipment, amount to around $10,000 in value. Many of you have asked why I didn't have insurance. Well, it's not as easy as you may think. When you live in a tiny house completely off the grid, contacting insurers reveals that you must be RVIC compliant or Noah certified. The builders of my tiny house never filed for that, despite telling me they would. Even to this day, they have not sent me the title to my tiny home. Obtaining insurance has been incredibly challenging for the last three years. If it were only $20 a month, I would have saved my investments by doing so, but the reality is its possible but without certifications your looking at high premiums, which I simply cannot afford. Despite the risks of living off the grid without certification, that's what I stand for. The requirement for all these certifications just to have a roof over your head is unbelievable. I loved living carefree and still do, but the stresses of life, coupled with this disaster, are overwhelming. However, I remain steadfast in my beliefs, regardless of what anyone else says. I appreciate the love, which definitely outweighs the negative comments. So, here's the plan: If we reach anywhere near the GoFundMe goal, Tiny House 2.0 will be feasible. I'll then donate a portion to the victims in my city, as some of them were hit much harder than I was. I might build another Tiny House or a shipping container home off the grid, documenting the entire process for you all to see firsthand and lean exactly what it takes to live in one of these and how to go about it. Some of you have suggested building an underground bunker or safe house, which is possible but not on this land. Due to water levels, it would have to be on another piece of property. However, that would only be feasible if the goal is met or surpassed. Would you also would be another opportunity to show you guys exactly how to get land. If any of the funds are left over I'll be making a video asking what else we should do with it.
