@fabulouspharmacist: I’m just a girl standing in front of a cholesterol reading asking how I can reduce it. Anything you want to learn about cholesterol and cardiovascular risk? #cholesterol #hearthealth #cardiovascularrisk #menopause #perimanopause #fyp
Bicarbonate of soda reduces it. I teaspoon every morning in water. Got mine down in a few weeks.

Mine was 7 about 3 months ago and I’ve been having porridge with ground flaxseed for breakfast. I’ll know soon if it’s helped. I’m 65 and otherwise really healthy and fit.

Done it naturally over 5 months dropped from 7.3 to 2.4. Plant sterols, walking min 5 miles everyday, and predominantly fish diet with a little bit of chicken now and again, avocado, veggies, almonds

Mine was 6.5 and I just cut back on milk, cheese and saturated fats. After three I was down to 4, but I lived in China for 4 years and they don't consider your cholesterol high until it's 7.

I am also 44 had a reading of 7.9 tested again 2 months later and was 4.8 I didn’t change anything! Have another test in a few weeks - it’s very strange how much it fluctuated.

There is familial high cholesterol in my family. Mum had a bypass at 58. Didn’t take hrt. Mine went to 7.8 early last year and I tried a new hrt and it’s down to 5.4. I’m hoping this is the answer..
