Spaniard living in the UK. Spanish NHS is really underfunded and the waiting times are also really bad. To me, it’s pretty similar, you have urgent care in centros de salud and A&E for majors.

my Spanish GP will see you same day if you call or turn up and wait outside her consulta. also the local health centre are 24 HR. but yes a lot will use urgencias dor trivial things.

In the Uk the only persons time you waste is your own because if it’s not going to kill you in the next half hour, you will have to wait all day!

Me staying in a&e for 3 days in pain to then be given a bed to then stay 2 weeks and them not finding out what was wrong with me 😃 led to 1year of waiting to then finally,find out what was happening

Our A&E is amazing, xrays, blood tests, ultrasound all on demand, Spanish health care is the best.

I don't think so. You get seen in A&E very quickly but don't abuse it. You can always see a doctor on the same day. Spanish health care is very good, no need to go to A&E
