I’m proud of you. I want for my autistic daughter to be prepared for the world. She had behaviors & it took work to correct it but I want her to be independent & functioning in life.

I agree. Me having autism is not an excuse for my behavior at times, it’s more of an explanation

On the flip side, you have “self diagnosed” call out creators behaving like mobsters that belong in jail. Treat everyone the same.

My middle school was strict but in a good way. They would kick you out for fighting, end of story. They did not play around.

Yes! Consequences shaped my life for the better, too. Consistent consequences for bad choices made bad choices too difficult.

I had undiagnosed ADHD but was expected toe the line. I was a good kid but it was hard. Yes ALL kids no matter the disability need to toe the line!!

There's a balance between having reasonable expectations based on disability and condoning dangerous behavior.

so you’re calling kids villains for behaving in a way that you admits you also did as a kid? Isn’t that all the more of a reason to understand them and help guide them??

I’m also autistic and didn’t get diagnosed till 25. It plays a major roll not giving excuses
