@morganallison: i thank god that im able to watch you grow. but that day is on replay in my head everyday. I find myself watching your every move now, any little spit up, any little gag or cough, my heart drops a little as i wait for you to catch your breath. im not even comfortable enough to let you out of my sight anymore without the “what ifs” running through my head. something that can only be explained as a “freak accident” has burned a hole in my brain and left me with constant worry and anxiety. anytime someone asks me about it i instantly get hot and sweaty as i relive that day all over again in my head. that day felt like an eternity, something as simple as “she just spit up” turned into “shes not breathing” very fast. hearing those three words, instantly made me weak in my knees. the car ride in the pouring rain on the way to meet the ambulance, patiently waiting for you to catch your breath. getting you into the ambulance and feeling the relief throughout my entire body once you started crying, all the chaos once we got to the hospital, getting your blood taken, iv, and tests, then transferred to the children’s hospital for even more poking and prodding. all i wanted to do was take you home and just cuddle you. but i knew they were just making sure you were okay, and to this day, i am SO thankful that you are perfectly fine, you are beautiful, you are growing, you are here 🤍 i thought i lost you that day, and now everyday when you wake me up, i feel relieved, knowing i got to take my baby home. 🩷 i find myself hugging you tightly everyday, because even though that day could have had a way worse outcome, it made me realize things really CAN change in just one second. #babiesoftiktok
