@spaghettiinmygymbag: Here’s another chapter in the remodel of my 1902 house. I remodeled the main entrance and the only staircase our house has to the second floor around 10 years ago. And it was brutal. I replaced the windows. The window on the landing was illegal by current building code due to the danger of tripping and falling out the window. So I put in a shorter window. I gutted the walls. And rebuilt a wall on the second floor that was 2 inches out of square (which hadn’t noticed in the first 10 years of living in it but once you know). I built the platform in order to gut the ceiling over the stairwell. Hung new plaster board and had it skimcoated with plaster. Painted the new walls. And then we brought in the stripping crew to remove the five different colors of paint on the stairs. #construction #remodel #oldhouse #stripper
