Would have personally sued that nurse for so many reasons. And the greeting personnel have always had something wrong that’s why they work at the front doors since Walmart opened

NEVER GIVE UP..
NEVER GIVE UP.. "STANDING ON ONE LEG, OLYMPIC VICTORY." Kerri Strug wasn't the most popular member of the 1996 US Women's Gymnastics Team, known as the "Magnificent 7," but she became the most memorable. Hearing the roar of the more than 32,000 people filling the Georgia Dome, Kerri Strug paused her warm-up routine and turned her attention to the vaulting table. Just before her, her teammate Dominique Moceanu was getting up from a fall and waving to the crowd. Strug couldn't believe Moceanu, with whom she had trained for five years at Bela Karolyi's gym in Houston, had fallen. In fact, she couldn't even remember the last time he'd made a mistake on the vaulting table. Fortunately, gymnasts had two attempts on the vault, and Moceanu was expected to secure the US gold medal on his second attempt, ending Soviet hegemony that had lasted since 1952 – except for the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, which were boycotted by the Eastern Bloc. At least, that was Strug's view... It didn't happen. Moceanu repeated the same move once more and landed back on the mat, landing on his bottom. The gap they had built against the Russians was closing. Strug, the last gymnast to take the stage, felt his heart race. Yet, his confidence remained high. The vault was his specialty, and he had practiced the move he was about to perform thousands of times. At 14, when he left his family in Arizona to go to Houston to receive the best training from Karolyi, he had this day in mind. He endured the grueling, almost cruel training of his Hungarian-born, Romanian-born coach, the days he was forced to train hungry and thirsty in the Texas heat, all for this medal. Taking a deep breath, he began his run. He rose from the springboard, cleared the vaulting table, but like Moceanu, he landed on his back. But with a difference; after getting up and saluting, Strug began to hop. Losing his balance on the landing, his right foot slipped, and all the weight shifted to his left ankle. He didn't look good, but if he didn't attempt his second jump, the gold medal might be gone. Strug turned to his coach, Bela Karolyi, with a bewildered look. When Nadia Comaneci delivered the first flawless performance in Olympic history, scoring a perfect 10 in Montreal in 1976, Karolyi was leading the Romanian team. Nearly 20 years later, this time leading the American team, he looked into his student's eyes, unaware that he was about to be at the center of another unforgettable moment. As Strug hopped toward the starting point for his second attempt, Karolyi didn't have much time to speak. He simply said: “Shake it off. You can do it. You can do it. You can do it. You can do it. Don't panic!” He was back at the starting point. Despite falling on his first attempt, the points he earned would have been enough for them to surpass the Russian team and win the gold medal, but he was unaware of this. With his left ankle sprained, he ran towards the vaulting table. He rose, completed his maneuver, and landed on both feet. He lifted his left leg back and gave his salute on one leg. At that moment, Karolyi shouted, "Yes!" But the smile on his face vanished instantly, and he began running towards the stairs; because after completing his salute, Strug had collapsed to the ground, clutching his left ankle. Tears streamed down his cheeks as he descended the stage with the support of his coaches. The doctors' advice to go to the hospital was unsuccessful. Strug wanted to be on the podium with the 'Magnificent 7' team at the medal ceremony. With a bandage on his left foot, he came to the podium in Karolyi's arms. He was smiling on one hand, and on the other, sobbing uncontrollably, a scene that depicted the turmoil of his emotions. Sixteen years later, he would explain the meaning of that day, which was the center of one of the most iconic moments in Olympic history, in a single sentence: “That day in Atlanta, I learned to believe in myself and my dreams, not my fears.” #sport #sports #kerristrug #kerriallyson
