We’re doing this with our daughter when she’s old enough. But all of her “rent” money will be given back to her when she graduates!

Yes my 16 year old is getting a job and I told him half of his paycheck goes to me for rent and bills. I will be putting that money in a savings account for him. He’s mad but I told him this is life

I do this with my kids they get £20 each a month and once they “pay bills” they have £5 left. The other money goes into a savings account they can’t touch until they move out at 18
