My youngest used to sing a bed time song with us each night. When she turned 10 she told us she didn’t want to do it anymore. I was not prepared for the emotion that followed. 🥹

I started really soaking in picking my daughter up each time when she hit about 10 with the mindset that this might be the last time. She is now 13 and I still remember the last time I picked her up!!

I tuck my 6 year old in and sing to him every night. I don’t love it but it takes maybe 5-10 minutes of my time to make him feel loved and safe and that’s ok ❤️

my 11 yr old still sleeps in my bed the nights my husband works. I will allow him to snuggle me until he doesn't want to. my 15 yr old is to grown for me now. so she thinks.

I’m so glad you see this at 6 and not when she’s 26. It goes so so fast. It’s ok to be tired. Tell her. Then “fall asleep” on her. It’s funny.
