I realized my issues wasn’t fruit flies, but fungus gnats. Started treating my drains and they stopped. But I still wash the bananas.

That’s why they always say wash your vegetable’s and fruit. Started doing this last year and yop 10000000% and it doesn’t spoil as quickly
