@natural_selections_: 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝙢𝙖𝙡𝙡: Children—especially the very young—often hold a particularly deep and almost obsessive fascination with the things of this world that grow, creep, and crawl. For many, this well of curiosity often dries up as they grow older, but for a few of us, the fascination & love are carried on into adolescence & even adulthood—forever shaping our lives and characters. Those of us who have lingered on in this curiosity and passion have and will continue to become the main players on the board—the main players who decide to dedicate their time and resources to conserving and expanding the wild places of Earth. No matter how few and no matter how able, the Earth will always need those who are willing to put the work in to get things done in the name of a better tomorrow. Those who work for a better tomorrow are the children of yesterday who perused the gardens of their childhoods for the wriggling ends of worms and the glossy armor of glistening beetles. The impact and beauty of those privileged and blessed types of childhoods cannot be understated. To save nature, we must love it openly & foster and support that love in our children. The appreciation of the few may yet save the many, and no deed done toward this end should be considered small or trivial. #animals #wildlife #conservation #positivity #love
