@thelawntools: Replying to @drummerboy987 LET ME EXPLAIN 👉🏼 This backyard makeover started because of a sprinkler system install. I tore up some sod, trenched the irrigation lines, installed the sprinkler system, and then put the sod back. I TRIED to pack the dirt back into the trenches as much as possible but no matter how hard i tried, some settling happened. So, the next step in the backyard renovation was to put sand on the places that settled to level the bumpy lawn. There are several benefits to top dressing with sand, but my main goal in using sand is to level the lawn so i can mow my grass at 0.5” (and lower on the greens) with a reel mower / greens mower. Overall the backyard makeover turned out really well and i’m getting excited for another backyard renovation in the kid’s play area this year! #backyardmakeover #renovation #renovationproject #backyard
