Most carriers do not realize this but the system was never really in their favor for years brokers were pushing cheap freight and carriers kept accepting it not because they wanted to but because they felt like they had no choice trucks needed to move and bills needed to be paid so even bad rates started looking acceptable then everything changed fuel prices spiked and suddenly those same cheap loads were not just low profit they were straight losses that is when carriers did something powerful they stopped hauling cheap freight and just like that the market reacted rates went up brokers who were comfortable paying pennies suddenly had to increase their offers just to keep freight moving that moment exposed something most people ignore carriers were always the ones controlling the freight they just never acted like it and right after that shift we started seeing pressure from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration around transparency broker margins and rate confirmations now ask yourself this why now why did it take a crisis a fuel spike and carriers refusing loads for things to suddenly improve could this not have been done earlier or was the system comfortable as long as carriers stayed quiet and kept accepting whatever they were given because the moment carriers pushed back even slightly the entire dynamic started changing this industry does not reward the hardest worker it rewards the one who understands leverage and the truth is simple if carriers ever move smart stay united and stop accepting garbage rates they do not just survive they control the market but the real question is will they or will things slowly go back to the way they were #truckersofamerica #truckingindustry #freightbrokerage #foryoupage
