Hey make sure you don’t overload the pit with wood too. You need to make sure the wood is under the wholes on the top.

someone may have said this already, but your wood fire needs to really hot before it becomes "smokeless" This is because these pits work by Secondary Burn. Meaning it burns the smoke, which requires a lot of heat. Those holes near the top are where the heat to burn the smoke comes from, so arrange your wood appropriately.

I bought the Solo Stove and I paid quite a bit more….but once you get it hot and the wood is below that top ring……it is pretty much smokeless, I love that I can put it on the deck.

gotta make sure whatever fuel as in wood or pellets you are using is not above those holes inside.... If it's above that then yeah it's going to smoke
