My dog doesn’t like strangers too… Why would they think they are welcome to pet him? He is not a toy, if he doesn’t, he doesn’t! 🙂

I get exactly the same with Heidi. All bark and no bite! But the looks we get from people🥺 They don’t understand that it’s just anxiety since she was bitten☹️

I adopted a rescue dachshund, I’m his 5th home & specifically adopt dogs with issues. I know how you feel, I have had moments of wondering if I’d ever get through to him, but I did. You will too.
