It’s just low for this time of year the freshet usually starts earlier.The climate changes in different cycles.This year it’s a late melt and not much snow pack.The water is already starting to rise.

That shot of the fraser river is actually the nechako river that goes into the Fraser.. nechako is controlled by Alcans kenny dam which is why it’s always low.

Only to point out that the river with low volume is the Thompson River, and the Full, muddy river through Price George is the Fraser River.

In 30 years of living in PG, I have never seen the rivers this low. And very much little snow in the mountains.
