Would the baby not get this anyway when you begin feeding?

This is so bizarre but every time you come up on my fyp you seem familiar and I just realised it’s because you remind me of Shelagh Turner from Call the Midwife 😂😂😂

This is education so needed. I had 3 children 20 years ago and no one mentioned this. I was very unwell post births this would have been gold to know this. Thank you to Dr Katie this will help many x

Silly question, how do you give this to your baby please? Is it direct from the syringe? Thank you 💕 xx

Do you use a sterile cup? Or is clean enough?

Why do you do this before? Won’t they still get the colostrum after birth? Genuine question.

Curious to know.. is it the hormones that make your milk come in? Or can you potentially bring in milk before the baby is born if you express too much colostrum?

my milk didn't come in for 3 days after my section with I had done this before. although his first feed was 3oz so he'd have gulped that down in seconds lol.

So glad I didn't bother buying into harvesting colostrum prior to birth. Unnecessary stress IMO unless you have a medical reason

wish I'd known about this 42 years ago. Day 3 was a nightmare when baby was hungry and my milk hadn't come in yet

It wasn’t a thing when I had my baby back in 1999. Would she have just got naturally from the first feeds?🤔
