Yes as a pilot there is a route where when you fly to tokyo(narita) the route will bring you best to Mount fuji especially if your coming from the west

Completely understandable. Mt Fuji is shy. Best view tho is from the shinkansan to Kyoto. Sit on right side for that and hope for a clear day

If you want to see Fujiyama, I recommend going to Fujiyoshida City. It's only about 90 minutes from Tokyo by train. Also, the udon noodles are delicious.
