We tell our kids (7 & 10) “there is no bad words, just bad timing” with a few exceptions.

@Nick Viall we told our kids it’s ok-just don’t do at school, around grandparents, other peoples houses, at each other or at us. They’re going to do it anyway.

Do you swear around your kids? Do you care if they swear?

My 3 year old swears so much. I had to tell her it’s potty talk and makes your breath stink. And we go brush her teeth. Totally my fault tho. 😅

Let kids fucking swear. Teach them “responsible” swearing just like anything else. Words only have as much power as you give them

I only care if they are using it to be hurtful. Also teach we do not need to be using it in school.

If it’s used correctly, appropriately, adds to the sentence, and isn’t meant to hurt anyone then go ahead

We explain hey the whole concept of “curse words” is made up and you can say whatever you want but we cannot necessarily help you if you say it somewhere you’re “not supposed to” (school)

I tell my kids swearing when you hurt yourself or make a mistake is one thing, but swearing at people or to hurt someone is not ok.

I swear around my kids. I swear a lot. My husband doesn’t swear…like ever. My big kids (15 & 13) drop a “damn” or “hell” very rarely. I would prefer if they don’t swear. I need to stop, also. 😅

Get her a punching bag instead when she’s feeling frustrated. We let our son start cursing when he was 13 and boy do we regret that. He’s 18 now and we’re still trying to detox him from F bombs
