Doctors seem to feel offended if you advocate for yourself. It’s so necessary and with our access to information, we should. Make them note it on your chart if they refuse!!

Not colon cancer, but I had been complaining of heart symptoms for years and told it was just anxiety. Ended up in heart failure and needed surgery 🫠

Thank you for this!!! My husband was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in April 2021. Thankfully his dr immediately sent him for a colonoscopy (BECAUSE MALE PRIVLEDGE). I’m so sorry for your loss.

So sorry about your sister! My friend was trying to advocate for herself for over a year and a half.. was finally diagnosed with colon cancer and died three weeks later. At 25

Same here with cervical cancer. Went to emerg and urgent care multiple times to be told my hormones were just in flux. Turned out to be stage 3 cervical cancer.

my mom was diagnosed with cancer in June 2023, it was cervical. for years she complained and the doctor told her it was menopause. It was stage 3. Unfortunately chemo took her, not cancer.
