@few_81: My time on remote winter expeditions in Quebec and New England made me a butter lover and so it’s only fitting to have wooden utensils to meet my butter needs. Maybe it’s just me, but I’ve never looked at a metal butterknife and been impressed with its beauty or function. They kind of just exist, work well enough, and we continue to use them. So I’ve been working through a batch of some wooden spreaders- roughed out with an axe and drawknife, then cleaned up with a knife. Each is burnished and finished with a beeswax/oil mixture. So no matter your spread of choice- whether you’re a butter person like me, soft cheeses on a charcuterie board or die hard peanut butter fan- I hope you can find yourself a noticeable spreader or maybe make one.
