have you been given the carb book from diabetes vic? I found that to be super helpful when understanding carbs ❤️also, I find the NOSHU choc bars to be a good sweet. volume eating is good too x

i hated it. got so upset, stressed etc... they didn't care. told to eat like a bird... i loathe seed bread etc then on the other side they're like omg why are you losing weight, stop that. uh?!?!?!

I apparently had gd I got 5.2 on my fasting and had to be 5.1 or under and I never had a higher reading, I ate mostly the same just smaller portions

Have you tried cooling down your carbs? I have type 2. white rice but I cook it and put it in the fridge to completely cool down before I eat. Same with potatoes. Potato salad with a light dressing🥰

It depends on each persons insulin resistance level. I was just over on my test and ended up having hypos from not consuming enough carbs

I told my midwife I’m going to be allowing myself 1 cheat day a week where I just eat whatever & don’t check my levels bc otherwise I’d go insane 😅 she was fine with it lol

its really weird with what finds you can eat, 2 toast would put me over but a 2 pack of chicken kiev and my numbers were fine, I had lots of chicken and Avocado and cordial

so, I'm probably not of any help. but I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes way before pregnancy. I've found "dieting" is really hard. I'm on a strict insulin regime honestly, I haven't really changed
