I started in 2009 as an EMT for 9 dollars an hour, after I got another cert for paramedic, I made 15.50. now I make 24/h after 15 years experience.

This is insane. They’re paying these same rates in TX where the cost of living is 1/3 of what CA’s is. They need to be paid significantly more.

I got paid 15$/hr at my firehouse and then I volunteered for free😂😭. The job ain’t for the weak either. But very rewarding
