Chaos in downtown LA.⁠ ⁠ A man armed with what was later determined to be a BB gun hijacked a Metro bus, leading to a series of collisions and a head-on crash into The Ritz-Carlton Hotel. The bus driver and a person in a car struck by the bus were injured. ⁠ ⁠ Some of the crashes were captured on security cameras and a dashcam, which showed the bus zooming past before slamming into the hotel. ⁠ ⁠ The man sought in the hijacking was arrested in the area about an hour after the crash.
