As an indian most parents start buying gold for their kids at a young age. My kids are 9 and 3 and i bought gold brick so when they get married they can turn it into what ever jewellery they want.

every Indian custom is different in south African we Indians don't pay for dowry we just do normal wedding every country the Indians do customs different

delivered big boxes the other day, man said his daughter was getting married, a 3 or 4 day event. was cheaper to buy items from India for it and ship them 🥰 he seemed so excited for his daughter.
