One of many actors in the Carradine family, he made his first appearances on television Western series such as "Bonanza" (1971) and his brother David's TV series "Kung Fu" (1972). Disney Channel fans will recall him for his role of dad Sam McGuire on the series "Lizzie McGuire" (2001-2004) and "The Lizzie McGuire Movie" (2003). Carradine's Disney roles also include Maxwell Dweeb on the ABC television musical special "Totally Minnie" (1988), Don Keeble in the comedy film "Max Keeble's Big Move" (2001), John Fairfield in the Disney Sunday Movie episode "The Liberators" (1987), and Malachi Van Helsing in the made-for-television horror-comedy film "Mom's Got a Date with a Vampire" (2000). Known for his role of Lewis in the comedy films "Revenge of the Nerds"(1984), "Revenge of the Nerds II: Nerds in Paradise" (1987), and "Revenge of the Nerds III: The Next Generation" (1992), some of Carradine's film credits also include "Cannonball!" (1976), "Buy & Cell" (1988), "Escape from L.A." (1996), "Django Unchained" (2012), and "The Night They Came Home"
