@iwannagohomestead: Do chickens like oranges?? 🍊 🍊 🍊 Not my chickens! Okay. So. I was researching if chickens can even have oranges after editing this video (oops) and they really shouldn’t. Oranges are not toxic or anything to chickens, and is still safe to try in moderation, but citrus fruit could make chickens digest too much citrus acid which is not good for their digestive tracts. Chickens tend to somehow know what is good for them and what is not. This is a perfect example of them avoiding a food they probably shouldn’t eat. The strong zesty flavor could’ve been the other reason they turned around and went to their regular feed instead. So heads up, you may not want to feed your chickens oranges. Can you blame me for trying not to waste our food scraps?! Or, do your chickens happen to love oranges?
