@jesseitzler: GET OUT OF YOUR BUBBLE. They always say surround yourself with “like minded people” and that makes sense in some situations for sure. BUT, that doesn't mean limit yourself to being around like minded people. I have learned way more from people that are very different from me than I have from those that are. Starting in my 20s I’ve been soaking up as much as I can from people who have been where I want to go. I'm a compilation of many of their habits. The best people to learn from are the people who’ve DONE IT. The more interesting people you meet and study, the more well rounded and interesting you become. Go to events where they discuss things you're interested in learning about (even if you go alone), read books on various topics and ask lots of questions when you get the opportunity to do so. .
