This was my mom when I told her I wasn’t baptizing my son in a Catholic Church it’s more tradition to them than knowing the actual meaning of being baptized and my son will baptize when he chooses

I don’t think it’s dumb but it’s not really necessary “one baptism for the forgiveness of sins” and assuming you were already baptized there’s not really a need for it

Good for you ! I was called upon the Catholic Church when I was struggling. My parents never forced Catholicism to me since they weren’t religious but I’m glad you were able to find God.
