Both my parents would criticize one another and using me to cope. Instead of talking, I heard mom complain about dad all day and vice versa. Horrible.

Respectfully disagree - product of divorced parents here and I would’ve much rather had the discord in home vs the scary feeling of any security I had being ripped away in a moment.

Leaving my abusive ex was the best thing I ever did for my child. I still never said a negative think about his dad. He’ll figure out one day what a disappointment he is and that’ll be hard enough. ❤️
