@trainbloom: I’m going to crumbl, who wants something? Fun video, but unfortunately not how your metabolism works (not even close 🙃) Because you actually burn most of your calories in places that AREN’T working out A better example for what it would take to burn off a crumbl cookie: Getting 8 hours of sleep 😴 Playing video games for a few hours 🎮 Hitting a 10k step goal for the day 🚶🏽♂️ Get the point? The goal of exercise is not to burn calories But to help build up your metabolism as a whole Because although weight loss does come down to calories in vs. calories out… There are other ways to increase how many calories you’re burning throughout the day Hope this helps 🤘🏽 #fittkok #GymTok #cardio #Running #Fitness
Just ate a cupcake today and felt no guilt eating it

But what if you eat over the calories that your metabolism and NEAT cover, and then just burn off the extra calories? Wouldn’t that be fine and could be what that guy is doing

I get the point of this video but I think it was more meant to be a fun video that shows a similar point that it takes a significant effort to just use exercise to account for your diet.

Soo true 😭 I literally walked dozens of miles and still couldn't really lose weight cause my diet was off. it started raining a lot and I studied, fixed my diet and boom losing weight like crazy.

It’s a fun little experiment to figure out how long it takes to burn X number of calories, but it’s crucial to remember that you do not need to “earn” that food via exercise!!

calories are units of energy. he consumed x amount of energy, he exerted x amount of energy. i get what you’re saying, but you can’t say that it’s not true.

What’s weird though is when I was extremely active I was SO STRESSED and not sleeping and was way more thin. I know there’s a lot to unpack there but still.

The point is that you can increase the excersize margin. There is more to just burning calories. Sugar, unlike fat, is not used quickly and is stored in the body longer.

I work a desk job, so I set an alarm to get up and stand/move for 15 minutes every hour recently. My joints can't handle running yet lol. 😭

Calories burned is calories burned. If my RMR is 2,800 calories, and I run a marathon and burn 5,000 calories, the majority of my caloric expenditure now came from exercise.
