Also! They did say that it’s most likely not TMJ, because of the way the pain radiates to other parts of my body that aren’t connected

Hey Birdie, cardio nurse here. Please consider getting an EKG done. May be unrelated to your heart but better to rule it out. Symptoms can look different in women. Hope this helps!!

I have trigeminal neuralgia mine started above my right eye I manage pain using gabapentin! They do blood work and MRI or CT scans see a neurologist as soon as possible!

I’d start with my primary care doctor. The way you described the pain going down your jaw to your arm was very specific. Rule out heart first and don’t wait for a future appointment.

I have trigeminal neuralgia and you definitely should see a neurologist. MRI of thr brain will be required to diagnosis it. I used icepacks and ibuprofen but honestly neuro meds was the game changer.

Try to get into a neurosurgeon. I had a bulging disc at my c5-c6 & it pressed on the nerves and the pain was awful. Any higher, it'll hurt your jaw &mimic TMJ. Feel free to message or ask me any ?'s

My friend had some pain in his jaw and the dentist didn’t see anything for months and then he went to a specialist and he had cancer- I know it’s scary but worth looking into

If you get blood work done, please ask for a D- dimmer.. it determines if mini clots are present anywhere. I'm an RN and have had patients with this same experience

Could be many things. I would call to get into a doc. They have some medications for nerve pain (gabapentin). Turmeric & tart cherry can help inflammation. If it gets worse, ER!
