ERGHHH SCAMMERS! 🤬😡🤯 Seeing this far too often whereby couples are getting scammed by wedding suppliers!!! I keep my lid shut when it comes to prices because, like I’ve said before, every business owner prices according to where their business is at that time. BUT, when something looks too good, or a huge offer is put on the table, maybe it’s worth doing some digging! Here are a few things to do when booking any wedding supplier (regardless of price/offer): RESEARCH: It doesn’t take long to smell a rat when you start to look at reviews, or research into Google the reputation of a certain supplier. Although saying this, I have fallen for a scammer with great reviews before, so make sure you do the following… ASK FOR A PHONE CALL: Ask for a phone call, or even better a video call. 9/10 a scammer will probably refuse this because it’s too much effort for them… or they are a Caribbean island somewhere living off your money. I will always offer a pre-booking phone call and will always keep in touch throughout the process. CONTRACTS: Know your rights when booking with any supplier. Make sure to read through the contracts before sign in and handing over any money. With whiffy contracts, you’ll often see things about refunds not given, or sometimes whole payments up front. Watch out for those! INSURANCE: You should do this anyway with your wedding, but get insurance to cover your backs if you are scammed! It amazes me how many people don’t have wedding insurance, or even think it’s a thing. It’s a thing, so get some! Hope this helps. I have fallen foul of a scam before by @whenweweduk and it sucks! I’m still mad to this day! ✉️ DM me today to see if your date is free. #scam #scammers #weddingscam #weddingscammers #weddingphotography #weddingphotographer #weddingplanning #weddingplanner #somersetwedding #somersetweddingphotographer #somersetweddingphotography #devonweddingphotographer #bristolweddingphotographer #ukweddingphotographer
