This exact thing happened to me. The nurse in medical tried to gaslight me and tell me there were no spiders in the jail. It ended up turning into MRSA and now I have a hole in my shoulder

I got bit by a brown recluse on the side of my stomach once. I had to go have it cut open and packed with gauze every other day for 3-4 weeks and several rounds of antibiotics. I still have a scar

husband had what we think was a spider bite..sick..delirious (after antibiotics at urgent care)..sweats and purple veins. went to ER and admitted him with bag after bag of vancomycin and still a fever
