People do spam jobs like crazy. Then the recruiter doesn’t review all of them, so if there’s already a lot of applicants, a qualified applicant may not be looked at.

It makes me mad that LinkedIn used to actually tell you the exact amount of people that applied not too long ago. In the midst of a hiring crisis they make it even worse for job hunters...
