I've seen where u use a 5 gallon bucket. the when u cut a hole in the lid u keep a lip so the bedding doesn't fall out. Her chickens really like it

I used tidy cat litter tubs with the large part of lid broke off,left the smaller part for a lip.screws them into the side of the coop on top of the shelf in it .

My next boxes are a cube shelf like from ikea just attached to the wall a little off the ground with small pieces attached to the front so they’re slightly enclosed, a reasonably affordable & easy
