My working cocker has had surgery on both her back legs, first at a year old and the second leg 2 months later. She runs around like normal now. The lengthy crate rest was the hardest part

My Jack Russell has it and I’ve asked my vet regularly whether I should get it operated on. He’s always said the operation itself probably does more damage than the whole issue itself…

10000% recommend hydrotherapy and physiotherapy to help post surgery with strengthening! Physio will help you understand some do’s and don’ts so you are more educated and get the best recovery!❤️🩹

what grade Is it? My Spaniel had surgery for a bad grade 3 but if it was 2 or less I'd of looked into hydrotherapy first probably

My Brittany is 4weeks post op, got 8 more weeks of restricted exercise! Drugs will be your friend and lots of food enrichment :)

My jack russell has just had this surgery, she 4 weeks post op tomorrow. I was terrified for her but she’s healing amazingly so far. Good luck to you and your pup ❤️. It’s hard but will be worth it ☺️

hydrotherapy- controlled walking in an underwater treadmill, *NOT SWIMMING* is a good step before going down the surgery route

My cocker had the surgery 6 weeks ago. Just had his final check and no movement in bone at all. Now on 6 weeks rehab work - not fun having an off lead spaniel on lead 😂 feel free to message any qs

My dog has just had that surgery. It’s a mission to keep them from not moving so much. Not sure if it’s even worked but will take time I guess.

My dog very occasionally does this, he hasn’t done it for a couple of months now as we have changed his joint supplement… would this be the same sort of thing? X

My 1 yr old pommy just got diagnosed with this today, vet said she think it’s a 2 out 4. And just gave me meds to help with any pain and inflammation. Any advice would be helpful!

does your dog hop on the same leg she has it or the other one? my dog has patella luxating but she hops on the other leg and I don't know if it's normal
