I worked for one company in the US that had a paid month-long sabbatical after 15 years of service, but they were known for laying folks off at 14 years 🙃

The is wonderful for you! We get 10 sick and 2 personal days per school year (we go from August - May), and we cannot use these as vacation days. Our district just passed maternity leave for 6 weeks.

🤯🤯🤯 Absolutely NOTHING like this in the USA, ESPECIALLY not teachers! Even after 20-30 years, you may only get 10 days off for sick/vacation

Some faith communities provided their ministerial staff (ordained or not) with sabbatical. something like after 7 years of you can take a year off (or 1 month for every yr service)

I have used up all of my leave days and now I get written up missing work. But all my sick days have doctors notes for my child who has been sick and in the hospital.

I’ve been with my company for 8.5 years. I get just about 4 weeks leave a year. That is used for sick days and vacation. 😭😭

I wish! I get 7 paid sick days after that they cut my pay. After having surgery to remove cancer, I’m out of days so every day I go for infusions, I lose my pay.
