@brutamerica: Julian Assange has been given the chance to take his appeal against extradition to the U.S. to a new hearing level by the U.K. High Court on Tuesday.  Prosecutors in the United States want to try Assange, 52, on espionage charges for publishing classified high-profile military and diplomatic material on WikiLeaks almost 15 years ago. Since then, Assange has been fighting extradition to the United States, including spending seven years inside the Ecuadorian Embassy in London and the last five at Belmarsh Prison on the outskirts of the British capitol.  U.S. prosecutors say Assange aided Chelsea Manning in the stealing of classified material and say he endangered service members in Iraq and Afghanistan. Assange’s supporters say he is a bastion of journalism and a political prisoner who will not receive a fair trial in the U.S. #fyp
