I have a question on something different? Why are some credit card companies more likely to give you a new line of credit instead of a limit increase of the current line of credit ?

Limit is 14,000 balance is 8,391 interest is 17.65%. Goal is to pay off when we can but I can only afford so much. Can’t afford more than $400 per month. Can I see options?
