@southerncrossgardens: Parterre under restoration and the process of using a frame when reshaping topiary, with @the hedge barber 💚💚 Andy is using a frame for the first time on these yew cones as he looks to restore them back to the right shape and size. These have been cut by different people over a number of years, resulting in different shapes and sizes. Using this frame will allow all the shapes and sizes to become much more uniform. Giving a much better look to the design. Once this has been achieved, these should be able to be maintained by eye. Andy started this restoration earlier in the year cutting the buxus extremely hard to reduce the height and width to bring the Parterre back to what was intended with straight lines and sharp edges. This is an ongoing project..
